Partners in Health and Wholeness is offering a yearly certification process to its member congregations. Congregations have the opportunity to achieve three different tiers of health certification and to receive recognition from the Council and their respective judicatories upon completion of the program. Certified congregations may also wish to identify themselves as such in their communities.
By participating in the PHW Certification Program, congregations will be demonstrating that our bodies are God's temple and that, as people of faith, we strive to live an abundant life of health and wholeness by increasing our physical activity, eating more fruits and vegetables, reducing the impact of smoking on ourselves and our neighbors, and engaging in other health activities that have the potential to add years – abundant years – to our lives.

Simply review the list of activities required for each level of certification – Bronze, Silver and Gold – and fill-out the online form which corresponds to your congregation's highest level of achievement.
PHW certifications are offered on an annual basis, from January 1 to December 31. You can apply at any time during the year. Submissions made prior to October 1 are valid for the current certification year only, while submissions made on or after that date remain valid through December 31 of the following year.
When applying for certification, you will be asked to report on activities that your congregation has completed during the past 12 months. For example, if you apply for certification on August 1, 2011, you will need to report on your efforts to improve congregants' health since August 1, 2010.
